Ingredients

250 gram Béchamel sauce
10 2 oz Lasagna sheet
1 large onion
3 cloves garlic
250 gram minced meat
1 tsp salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
0.5 tsp paprika
0.5 tsp oregano
0.5 tsp thyme powder
1 tsp rosemary
1 cup Canned tomato sauce
2 Tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup chopped tomato
0.5 cup water
0.5 cup parmesan cheese
2 cups of grated mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

1

Chop the onion and sauté with some oil over medium heat.

2

Peel and crush the garlic and add it to the sautéing onion.

3

When the color of the onion changes, add the minced meat.

4

Sauté the minced meat with onion and garlic until the color turns.

5

Add salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and thyme, then sauté them amidst the mix.

6

Add tomato paste, chopped tomato, and mashed tomato to the meat and mix well.

7

Add half of the water and mix again.

8

Put the lid and let it cook over low heat.

9

While cooking the meat sauce, you can prepare the white sauce according to the recipe linked in the ingredients list.

10

Finally, the meat sauce of the lasagna is ready, and you can start the next steps.

11

I used semi-finished lasagna noodles, which I only had to put in water for five minutes to soften. If your lasagna (according to its recipe) needs cooking, then do as it says on the package.

12

Rub one or two tablespoons of white sauce on the bottom of your dish with the back of a spoon.

13

Cut the noodles to your dish's size and place a layer on the bottom of the container.

14

Pour a few tablespoons of meat sauce atop the noodles and spread.

15

Pour two tablespoons of béchamel sauce over the meat.

16

Add a layer of grated cheeses.

17

Repeat the previous four steps until your dish is full or you run out of lasagna noodles.

18

After putting in lasagna noodles as the last layer, add enough sauce to cover the whole top and cover the sauce with cheeses.

19

Cover the container with aluminum foil and place it in a preheated oven at 350 Fahrenheit for 50 minutes.

20

Remove the aluminum foil after 40 minutes and let the top layer roast for the last 10 minutes.

21

Finally, let it cool a little bit before you cut it.

Tips and tricks

  • Covering the top layer with aluminum foil ensures the cheese remains soft and elastic since it protects it from overheating and getting too dry.
  • Be careful. It's impossible to cut the hot lasagna as soon as you take it out of the oven and get a beautifully shaped slice. Because the hot molten cheese between layers let the noodles slide with ease. To have a lovely lasagna, be sure to let it cool, and the cheese is a little bit solidified.
